Locator Control

 Locators are structures within sub inventories. Locators may represent rows, rack, or bins in warehouses. Each locator you define must belong to a sub inventory. Each sub inventory can have multiple locators .

Usage : Locator control is used when you want to exactly point out where the material is physically available. 

Example : Its used in most of the industry like auto mobiles ,electronics ,electrical industry etc.

Locator Control Setup @ Org Level

1. None

2. Prespecified only

3. Dynamic entry allowed

4. Determined at Subinventory Level

None: Oracle Inventory never requests locator information while you perform a transaction for this organization. 

Pre specified only : Oracle Inventory requires locator information while you performa transaction for this organization. You must choose a locator from a list of locators that you have pre specified 

Dynamic entry  : Oracle Inventory requires locator information while you perform a transaction for this organization. You may either choose from a pre specified list of locators or define a locator dynamically when you enter the transaction. 

Determined at Subinventory Level : Locator control to be setup in subinventory

Miscellaneous ReceiptBased on our setup system didn't allow to create new locator at receipt it allowed only prespecified locator.
