Kitting

 Setup

1. CREATING KIT BOM
2. CREATING KIT ITEM & SUB ITEMS
3. CREATING PACKING LOCATOR
4. CREATING DOCK DOOR LOCATOR

Creating KIT BOM 

 Create KIT Item with Template as KIT

 KIT Item should not be stockable or transactable

 In Order Management make sure the item is not shippable and enable pick components

 Create KIT Item with Template Finished Good.

 Create Packing and Dock Door Locators.

Transaction Flow:

Create sales order for KIT Item

 Enter the warehouse details

 Enter the KIT Item and Quantity

 Book the sales order

 After booking check the sale order line items. Child items will be defaulted by the system automatically based on the KIT BOM.

Release the Sales Order

Enter the sale order number

 Ensure that  Auto Pick Confirm is set as "No"

 Enter the warehouse

 Execute the sales order releases

Pending Transaction

 Navigate to pending transactions to get the Temp ID which will be used as Picking ID in Mobile Application.

Picking Process

Picking process helps to pick the material from the "From Subinventory"

Navigation: Tasks: Manual Tasks : Paper Based Pick

Enter the Inventory Organization CodeEnter the Transaction Temp ID  in Pick ID field and click done. Reconfirm the details and create LPN

Click Load

Do the same activity for other picking ID. We are doing this process to pick the material from "From"sub inventory.

Staging Process

Once the picking process is completed next proceed with staging process to move the goods from "From Subinventory" to "To Subinventory"

Navigation: Tasks: Manual Tasks : Go to Directed Move : Drop Loaded LPN's

Enter the LPN and click drop.

 Reconfirm the sub inventory and click done. Do the same activity for all LPN's.

 Check the status in shipping transaction form once the LPN's are dropped.

Kitting - Packaging Process

With the help of packing process you can consolidate all the LPN together and pack it under single LPN.

Navigation: Outbound: Packing : Consolidate

 Generate Parent LPN and press tab

 Select the sub inventory and locator where you like to perform the packing activity. Enter the list of LPN's you would like to combine together and create under one parent LPN.

 After entering the LPN in Next LPN field click "More". Do the same activity till you enter all the LPN'S which you want to combine together and create under single LPN.

Once its loaded under single LPN, check the status in shipping transaction.

Shipping Process

Shipping process helps to move the goods from the warehouse to customer.

Navigation: Outbound: Shipping: LPN Ship  

Select the Dock Door and select your parent LPN.  Click Continue Ship

 Click Continue Ship. Click Ship All

 Shipping activity completed.

Check the sales order line status in shipping transaction

This completes the Kitting and Packing Process.
